A Portal Into Space

Possibly Habitable Exoplanet Found!

A habitable exoplanet was found by the University of California (UC) Santa Cruz and the Carnegie Institution of Washington! The planet was found thanks to over a decade of research using the Keck Observatory in Hawaii. The planet is in a position were there may be liquid water. But it orbits a red dwarf (cool and small star) named Gliese 581. This proves that maybe, just maybe we are not alone in the universe. The image below is a comparison between the Gliese 581 solar system and our solar system. Gliese 581 is about 30% the mass of our sun. Planet g is the one that could be habitable.
