Chandra has found the youngest black hole in our galactic neighborhood named SN 1979C. This object will help scientists understand how massive stars explode. Click here->Black Hole Bio to view SN 1979C’s bio.
A cosmic “dragon” seems to soar among the stars. In visible light (upper half), the dragon is hidden by dust and gas as if it is “frolicking in the autumn mist”. The dragon is visible in infrared (lower half) though. This creature is actually forming stars rapidly and is known as M17 SWex. This photo was taken by Spitzer and managed by JPL.
